Spectacular success for inaugural National Sports Day
The country’s inaugural National Sports Day (NSD) which took place on 14 February 2012 amid the participation of several government and non-government institutes has achieved a significant success at all fields.
All government and non-government authorities who engaged in the prestigious event described the Emiri decree issued by HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Deputy Emir, Heir Apparent who also the President of Qatar Olympic Committee as a historic for community and individuals.
All Municipalities across Qatar , security bodies, oil and gas companies, both general and private sectors, sport federations and clubs, Ministries and institutions marked the event in a festive national scene.
In reference to the dazzling participation , hereby we convey deep thank and appreciation to all institutions who took part in the first edition, wishing the same rate of participation on Tuesday of second week of February in 2013.
National Sports Day is a pioneer initiative adopted by HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent who issued the Emiri Decree No. 80 for the year 2011 on 06 December 2011, concerning the State ’s National Sports Day.
